SAIL Amsterdam 2025 (20–24 Aug ’25)
The 10th edition of SAIL Amsterdam coincides with the 750th anniversary of the city and the 50th jubilee of the SAIL festival itself.
Expect an impressive fleet of around 800 vessels — from majestic tall ships to modern yachts — sailing in during the spectacular SAIL-In Parade (20 Aug) and departing again during the SAIL-Out Parade (24 Aug). More than 2.3 million visitors are expected to attend this maritime spectacle, which also features cultural performances, fireworks and themed cruises.
Special navigation rules apply for recreational boats: the canal will be temporarily closed, convoy sailing is mandatory, and specific safety protocols are in place. Participation with your own boat is possible, provided you register in advance and your berth is approved via MyPort.
