WELCOME TO THE LAND OF WATER AND STEAM!

You can see it from afar: the huge chimney of Dutch
Steam Engine Museum in Medemblik. This museum for young and old is
located in the former steam pumping station 'Vier Noorder Koggen' at the
IJsselmeer. Stop by and find out how James Watt's world invention works.
Help the blacksmith and the stoker with their craft and earn a diploma.
Or run your own miniature steam engines.

There is also plenty to see for adults. Hear steam engines puffing and
smell oil when the museum is under steam. During the Super Steam Days
the outdoor machines are running at full speed. Outside, among other things,
the steam roller, crane, dredger, locomobile and saw.
