Overleek, Twiske-Waterland leisure authority

Between Monnickendam and Ilpendam, you’ll find Overleek, a hamlet in the municipality of Waterland. Fancy stretching your legs? How about walking a section of the Laag-Holland route towards Ilpendam or Broek in Waterland. Follow the blue arrows on this ‘farmer’s path’ and take in the characteristic Dutch landscape. The farmers are compensated by the province of Noord-Holland for allowing their land to be used (and for their grass being flattened by walkers).
